Privacy Policy
Controller
DOM Service GmbH, Parkstrasse 22, 3906 Saas-Fee, Switzerland — saaser@domservice.ch
Principle
We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European GDPR. We only collect data we need to run Saaser.
What we process
- Account: signing in with Google gives us your name, e-mail address and profile picture.
- Profile: details you add voluntarily (role, location, phone, website, language).
- Listings and comments: title, description, location, price, photos and timestamps. This content is publicly visible.
- Technical data: IP address, date and time, browser and device type and pages visited, in server logs.
- Cookies and local storage: for sign-in and your chosen language.
Purposes
Operating and securing the platform, showing and searching listings, preventing abuse, support and improving the service.
Automatic translation
Listing and comment texts are translated automatically into the supported languages. For this, the text you enter is sent to a translation or AI service provider and processed there.
Processors and recipients
We work with service providers for hosting, database and authentication, image storage, translation, e-mail delivery and audience measurement, statistics, error tracking, advertising and similar purposes. These providers may be located in Switzerland, the EEA or other countries (in particular the USA); transfers are safeguarded appropriately. This policy is deliberately broad: if we add further tools, the principles described here apply to them as well.
Retention
Listings close automatically 60 days after publication and are then kept for evidence and abuse-prevention purposes. Account data is kept as long as your account exists.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Write to saaser@domservice.ch. To delete your account and data, one message to the same address is enough.
Security
We protect data with technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transmission and access-restricted storage.
Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics, a service by Google Ireland Ltd (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on page, approximate origin, device type). Cookies are set and data is sent to Google; your IP address is truncated before storage. If you choose “Reject” in the cookie notice, or have not yet made a choice in a consent region, no analytics cookies are set; Google then receives only a limited, cookieless measurement. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings in the footer. You can additionally block Google collection with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version published on this page applies.
